She was predeceased by: her mother Ethel Gearhart; her daughter Karen Wessels; and her grandson Jonathan Wessels. She is survived by: her husband Joseph Markauskas of Saint Leonard, MD; her daughters, Susan Scarlett (Brian) of Bowie, MD and Christina Halt (Scott) of Saint Leonard, MD; her son-in-law David Wessels of Port Republic, MD; and her grandchildren, Jena Fisher, Denny Scarlett, Matthew Fisher (Jennifer), Joseph Wessels, Joshua Wessels (Hannah), Alex Halt (Harleigh), Noah Halt and Hannah Wessels. She is also survived by ten loving great-grandchildren.
