She was predeceased by: her parents, Wesley Showalter and Laddie Showalter; her husband Robert Shanklin, Sr.; her daughter Dedrie Shanklin; and her brothers, Colin Showalter and William Showalter.
She is survived by: her children, Cynthia Shanklin and Robert Shanklin, Jr.; her daughter-in-law Julie Shanklin; her grandchildren, Christopher Shanklin (Ashley), Brittany Shanklin, Jessica Maitland (Caleb) and Madison Shanklin; her great grandchildren, Kalianna "Kali" Shanklin, Braxton Carter, Haisley Shanklin, Kinley Hairston and Zaiden Carter; and her friends, Beverly Thomas and Betty Saunders.
