She is survived by: her son Eric Polatz of Gulfport, MS; her granddaughters, Julia Ann and Christina; her siblings, Richard Shumate and Patsy Smith of Bluefield, VA; and her nephew Brian Shumate. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces and greats nephews whom all adored their aunt.
