He was predeceased by: his parents, Emory Richards and Ora Bartlett Richards; and his siblings, Alta Huffman, Louie Collins, Lola Barrett, Genevie Hardman, Lester, Lee, Park, Cleo, Lawrence, Orla, Woodrow and Obed Richards.

He is survived by: his children, Loren Richards of Big Bend, WV, Lyle Richards (Lydia) of Big Springs, Neal Richards (Donna) of Grantsville, WV, Eric Richards (Jennifer) of Big Springs and Gretchen Boatright (Ron) of Nobe, WV.; and his wife Alta Nicholas Richards. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins.

“Alta Mae and fellow cousins. Our deepest sympathy with the loss of Uncle Hobart........he was a very favorite uncle and I loved our visits with Alta Mae and Hobart when I got home from Florida and now New Hampshire. Fun chats, good gossip and a sense of good for his farm, his kids and most of all Alta Mae. We joked about our mountains, his in WVA and mine in New Hampshire and my sister Patricia and I enjoyed our visits with them when I go home. Love ya Uncle Hobart........Beverley Richards W”
