He is survived by: his wife Cathy C. Wise Deem; his adoptive daughters, Amber Deem and Savanna Hiveley; and his stepchildren, Cheryl Holland of Boaz, Stacey Terry of Parkersburg, Sara Rose of Williamstown and Matthew Deem. He is also survived by many grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
