With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Lucy Nan Culver of Beverly, West Virginia, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Nelson McLaughlin and Ruth Virginia Sanders McLaughlin; her brother Robert Nelson McLaughlin; and her nephew Bryan Nelson McLaughlin. She is survived by: her children, James David VanNess (Kathy) of Peru, NY and Rebecca Jo Foster (Randy) of Webster, NY; her grandchildren, Cierra VanNess, Connor "Cassidy" VanNess and Brady VanNess; her stepgrandchildren, Jonathon Foster and Stephanie Ruggiero; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Brantley Foster, Brexton Foster and Rowen Foster; and her niece Lora Figgins of Martinsburg.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home - Elkins (120 1st St, Elkins, WV 26241). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
The family suggests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of contributions to the Randolph County Senior Center or Mill Creek Meals on Wheels Nutrition Center. Keep Lucy's legacy alive by donating to a charity in need.
