He is survived by: his spouse Beverly Jo Hedrick; his sons, Edward James Guire, Jr. (Samantha Chidester) of Beverly and Benjamin Lee Guire (Amanda McLaughlin) of Beverly; and his sister Margaret Skidmore of Beverly. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
