Barbara Sue Smith Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barbara Sue Smith of Beverly, West Virginia, born in Elkins, West Virginia, who passed away on December 20, 2021 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Sam and Carrie Harper; her brother Richard "Dick" Wamsley; her siblings-in-law, Marie Wamsley and Jay Knavenshue; and her nieces, Julie Ann Lewis and Helen "DeeGee" Wamsley.
She is survived by: her daughters, Susan L. Marks (Chuck) of Parsons, WV, H. Jill Rice (Brooks) of Lancaster, OH and Holly J. Helzer (Jim Hawkins); her siblings, Robert "Bob" Wamsley (Dottie) of Elkins and Jean Knavenshue of Elkins; and her grandchildren, Clayton Collett (Alexis Sheffer), Abby Collett, Ben Cromer, Owen Rice, Evan Rice, Chloe Helzer, Sam Marks, Adam Rice, Parker Smith and Shelby Smith. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Masks and social distancing will be required for those attending the visitation and funeral service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Betty Puskar Breast Care Center, 1 Medical Center Drive, Morgantown, WV 26505, in memory of Barbara Sue "Bobbie" Smith.
