With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Anita Diana Kerekes of Berwind, West Virginia, born in Tazewell, Virginia, who passed away on December 19, 2021 at the age of 63. She was predeceased by: her parents, Woodrow J. Pruett, Sr. and Maxine Geraldine Crouse Pruett; and her sisters, Sidney Lewis, Brenda Altizer and Linda Gail Pruett.
She is survived by: her husband James "Joe" Kerekes, Sr.; her children, Marissa Kerekes, James, Shannon Kerekes (Heather) of Caretta, WV and Michael Kerekes (Jennifer Elmore) of Berwind, WV; her grandchildren, Samantha Barnett, Samantha Tessner (Lee), Tiffany Woody (Brian Mitchell), Matthew Kerekes and Caleb Elmore; and her siblings, Karyn Rainey, Doris Bradley, Barbara Mitchell, Joanne Osborne, Steven Pruett and Woodrow "Bo" Pruett, Jr.. She is also survived by two great grandchildren.
