It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Letha Ellen Mechem (Berkeley Springs, West Virginia), who passed away on October 6, 2019, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Turner Ashby, Jr. and Mary Householder Lafollette; her former husband Nyle Glenn "Jiggs" Rankin; and her brothers, Donald Lee Lafollette, Bruce Lafollette and Stanley Milton Hovermale.
She is survived by: her husband Joe Mechem; her daughter Cassandra Ellen "Sandy" Kesecker (Vince) of Berkeley Springs; her siblings, Lena Helen Reynard of Dayton, OH and Kenneth Lafollette (Veronica) of Berkeley Springs; and her grandchildren, Carrie Maretta Kesecker of Berkeley Springs, Kyle Vincent Kesecker of Berkeley Springs and Carter Ryan Kesecker of Berkeley Springs. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
