Kirk Irvin Light Obituary
We are sad to announce that on December 14, 2024, at the age of 73, Kirk Irvin Light of Berkeley Springs, West Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Bruce Irvin and Mary Lea Harden Light; his former wives, Sandra Rae Christenson Light and Carol Sue Courtney Light; and his brother Melvin Leslie "Les" Light.
He is survived by: his wife Dixie Lee Patton Light; his children, Dr. Krista Lynn Hopkins (Brad) of Martinsburg, WV and David Bruce Light (Shannon) of Berkeley Springs, WV; his stepdaughter Brandy Lynn Pryor of Hancock, MD; his siblings, Ella Lea Ritchie of Hollywood, MD, Janet Kay Light of Orleans, WV, Anita Gail Hanline of Berkeley Springs, WV and Garnett Clifton Light (Barb) of Geneva, OH; and his grandchildren, Abby, Jack, Jaden, Colby, Kinsey, Tyson and Layna. He is also survived by five step grandchildren, four step great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 22nd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center (95 Union St, Berkeley Springs, WV 25411). A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Kirk's memory may be made to Mt. Zion Church Cemetery Association, c/o Stuart Gloyd, 635 Orleans Road, Great Cacapon, WV 25422.
