She was predeceased by: her parents, William Bell and Wilma Mills Bell Criss; her husband Ansel Jonathan Gere II; and her stepfather John Criss. She is survived by: her children, Clara E. Brown, Catherine A. Williams, Jacquelyn P. Thomas and Ansel J. Gere III; and her sister Heretia "Jeanne" Kochniarczyk. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
