He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Thomas and Lona Maxine Steiner Newbraugh; and his brother Thomas Hinkle Newbraugh. He is survived by: his daughters, Sarah Katherine Harmison (Harlan Harmison III) of Hedgesville, WV and Kathryn Anne "Kate" Keefer (Scott Keefer) of Hancock, MD.; his grandchildren, Michael John Keefer of Hancock, Leah Kathryn Keefer of Hancock, Harlan Eugene Harmison IV and John Thomas "J. T."; and his brother Daniel Frederick Newbraugh (Connie) of Hedgesville.
