He was predeceased by: his parents, Otis William and Agnes Virginia Shambaugh Gaither; his wife Carolyn Gaither; and his siblings, James, Leonard, Bernard, Wilma, Norma and Bernice.
He is survived by: his children, Lisa Keefer (Keith), Wendy Drennen (Scott) and John Gaither, Jr. (Angie); his grandchildren, Nathan, Kimberly, Joshua, Elizabeth and Christofer; his great grandchildren, Liam, Kiara, Aiden, Parker, Evan, Mason, Camden, Waylon and Luca; and his sister Janice Stotler (Melvin).
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home (95 Union St, Berkeley Springs, WV 25411). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
