He was predeceased by: his parents, James Wilbur Sylvester Cain and Eva Marie Spring Cain; his daughter Tammy Lynn Cain; and his siblings, Jean Elizabeth Ditch, Julian Cain and Donald Douglas Cain.
He is survived by: his children, Gayle Richard "Richie" Cain, Jr. (Teresa) of Hedgesville, WV and Candi LuAnn Didawick (Philip) of Berkeley Springs, WV. He is also survived by three grandchildren, three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
