She was predeceased by: her parents, Ardell Spielman and Eunice Porter Spielman; her husband Richard McKinley Hovermale, Sr.; her siblings, Lila Mae Spielman, Ruth Ann Spielman, William Spielman, Richard Spielman, Donald Spielman, David Spielman and Wayne Spielman; and her daughter-in-law Beverly Gail Rockwell Hovermale.
She is survived by: her sons, Richard "Butch" Hovermale (Sherry) of Berkeley Springs and Dayton "Jody" Hovermale (Stacey) of Berkeley Springs; her grandchildren, Leonard Hovermale and Crystal Litaker; and her pet Rocky. She is also survived by two great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
