He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Randolph and Rhoda Mary Peters Kidwell; his wife Roxanna Lea Haugh Kidwell; his brother Garland Lee Kidwell; and his son-in-law Dr. Tom Patrick.

He is survived by: his daughters, Kista Kay Hurley (Kevin) of Chapel Hill, Rhonda Lea Clem of Chapel Hill and Donna Jean Patrick of Canaan Valley; his siblings, Paul Randolph Kidwell, Jr. of Kearneysville, Sue Carol Miller of Paw Paw and Wanda Lou Clatterbuck of Berkeley Springs; his grandchildren, Anna Lea Patrick, Anna Grace Marie Strouse, Matthew Russell Patrick and Nicolas Paul Clem; his great grandchildren, Justin Wayne Strouse II and Jude Walker Strouse; his close friend Barbara Henry Clark; and also Travis of Berkeley Springs. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
