She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell A., Sr. and Georgetta Ruth Miller Kesecker; her husband Richard Bender Carpenter, Jr.; and her siblings, Sarah Jane McDaniel, Cheryl Kesecker, Maretta Kesecker, Paul Kesecker and John Kesecker.
She is survived by: her siblings, Linda Putman of Falling Waters, WV, Barbara Mills of Winchester, VA, Sherry DigNazio of Martinsburg, WV and Russell A. "Junior" Kesecker, Jr. of Charlestown, WV. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
