It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rose Purpura of Benwood, West Virginia, who passed away on September 2, 2021, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Szeligo and Mary Szeligo (Prezkop); her husband Bartholomew Purpura; her siblings, John, Chester, Walter Szeligo, Mary Ann Rzepka and Dorothy Mathys; and her son-in-law Daniel Krulcik.
She is survived by: her children, Rosemary Purpura of Benwood, Patricia Purpura of Benwood, Christine Krulcik of Martins Ferry, OH, Janet Simons (Michael) of Triadelphia, WV, Joseph Purpura of Dry Fork, WV and James Purpura (Natalie) of Blairstown, NJ; her grandchildren, Frank Purpura (Stacey), Chad Purpura (Charlotte), Anthony Simons, Dr. Kaylee Purpura-Ivey (BJ) and Joshua Krulcik; and her great grandchildren, Caleb, Lauren, Audrey, Alex and Ethan. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
