It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Smith of Benwood, West Virginia, born in Wheeling, West Virginia, who passed away on June 14, 2021, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Smith and Elizabeth Smith (Conrad); his significant other Bonnie Smith (Nickerson); his grandson Joshua Fratkin; and his sisters, Margaret Merryman, Mary Louise Greathouse, Betty Long, Bertha Schrumph, Theresa Risden, Jeannie Radcliffe, Sandy James, Nancy Hawk, Paula and Patsy Taylor of Benwood.
He is survived by: his brothers, Buzzy, John Paul, Jimbo and Eddie; his children, Thomas Smith (Mary) of Florida, Tammy Brandon (Ralph) of Benwood, Debbie Richmond (Lou) of Glen Dale, Kathy Coleman (CR) of Benwood and Michelle Robbins (Rick) of Benwood; his grandchildren, Charity Karrasch of Wheeling, Kate Shelton (Coty) of Florida, Elizabeth Berberich (Keith) of Wheeling, Michael Brandon (Stephanie) of Ohio, Bryan Brandon (Laken) of Benwood, David Richmond (Megan) of Texas, Bobby Richmond, Jennifer Richmond of Glen Dale, Cirstin Redman (Bill) of Wheeling, Courtney Sierra (Benny) of Wheeling and Cristyn Davis (Ethan) of Ohio; his great grandchildren, Kendyl, Keigan, Klayne Brandon, Jayden, Jaymison Redman, Quinton, Chloe, Nami Sierra, Zuri Davis, Alice Richmond, Declan Berberich and Chase Snyder; his son David Tennant of Florida; his sister Ella Mae McGill; his sister-in-law Marti Tennant of Florida; and his son Ngoc Nguyen.
