He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur McIlvain and Josie McIlvain (Shook); and his siblings, Herald, Clarence, Arthur, Walter McIlvain, Mildred Howe, Mary Elizabeth Berisford and Lulu May Connor.
He is survived by: his children, George McIlvain Jr. of Wheeling, David McIlvain of Wheeling, Julia McIlvain of Benwood and Frances Pajerski (Gene) of Aiken, SC; and his sister Doris Ringle of Eagle, MI. He is also survived by five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
