She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Townsend and Golden Swain Townsend; her husband Virgil McVey; her grandchildren, Jill VanMeter and Shad McVey; her brothers, Gene and Charlie Townsend; and her siblings-in-law, Pauline Townsend and Roy Buck.
She is survived by: her children, Patsy VanMeter (Jim) of Belleville, Peggy Edwards of Coolville, Kenneth "Mike" McVey (Barbara) of Parkersburg, Ike McVey of Ripley and Keith McVey (Kim) of Washington; her grandchildren, Lorie Bane, Mikie McVey, Jared McVey, Justin, Matt Edwards, Erica Winter and Aaron Ewing; her great grandchildren, Sydney, Brady Bane, Bennett McVey, Logan, Jackson, Kensi McVey, Emma, Ethan, Avery, Aubrey Edwards, Cierrah, Reagan Longwell, Zander, Ryder Ortego, Bella and Blake Ewing; her sister Anna Lou Buck; and her sister-in-law Betty Jo Townsend of Belleville.
