She was predeceased by: her mother Goldie Gaylor Brown of Belle; and her siblings, Brenda Welch and Dana Brown Jr.. She is survived by: her husband Garrett T. Carte; her sons, Garrett (Ronda) of Hurricane and Michael (Caroline) of Charleston; her grandsons, Daniel Carte (Mallory) of North Carolina, Jared Carte (Clarissa) of Pittsburgh, Aaron Carte and Jonah Carte of Charleston; her great grandchildren, Robert 'Bo Carte and Teddy Carte of North Carolina; her brother Ronald H. Brown of Fraziers Bottom; and her nieces, Tammy, Teresa, Belinda and Nancy Hoy.
