He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Summers and Nellie Cundiff Summers; his grandparents, Wallace and Kathleen Cundiff; his siblings, Donald and Patricia; and his grandson John Michael.
He is survived by: his wife Alana Summers; his sons, Robert Summers of Rand, Steven Summers of Rand and John Summers of DuPont City; his brother James Summers of Texas; and his grandchildren, Brittany, Alycia, Allen, Justin and Mary Ann. He is also survived by ten great grandchildren.
