It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gearldean Mae Nelson of Belle, West Virginia, born in Covington, Virginia, who passed away on July 2, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Glendon Menefee and Georgia Peal Menefee; her husband Ralph Alonzo Nelson; and her sisters, Phyllis Madrid and Elaine Robinson.
She is survived by: her children, Robert Nelson of Ripley, Renea Nelson Slack of South Charleston and Randy Nelson (Brandi) of South Charleston; her grandchildren, Tyler Clark of South Charleston, Sara Nelson of South Charleston and Katie Nelson of South Charleston; and her sister Connie Hoblitzell of Marmet.
Due to the COVID-19, there will only be a private graveside service with Pastor David Clark officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes contributions be made to Hospice Care of Charleston, 1606 Kanawha Blvd W, Charleston, WV 25387 or Belle Church of the Nazarene, 300 9th Street Belle, West Virginia 25015.
