He is survived by: his wife Sandra Hall Clay; his sons, Carl Richard 'Rick Clay Jr. of Charleston and Russell Allen Clay (Jennifer) of Hamstead; his siblings, Dana Clay of Charleston, Nancy Robertson of Clendenin and Patricia Mekosh of Warrington, Pennsylvania; his grandchildren, Cody Clay (Ashley), Chad Clay (Ashley), Evanie Taylor Butler (Wyatt) and Kendall Clay; and his great grandchildren, Kinsley, Ethan, Sadie Grace and Kellen.
