He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Charles Edward "Jim" Compton and Mable L. Moran Compton Reeves; his siblings, James and Jennifer Compton Corton; his former wives, Patricia and Doris L.; his children, David, Joseph Compton, Glenda, Amy, Tammy and Jane; his children-in-law, Doug Eakle, Martha Clark, Lucas McKinney, Mike Williams and Lauren Pyles Compton; and his siblings, Martha Lee Compton Richards, Charles Edward Compton, Jr., Alfreda Mae Compton Dearth and Jeffrey Karl Compton.
The family wishes to share that there will be ample handicap parking, space for social distancing, and areas for children to play.
In lieu of flowers, the family notes that charitable donations may be made in Bill's honor to Chase's Hope, a 501 (c)(3) non-profit corporation dedicated to the support of north central West Virginia's children and families in need, at PO Box 569, Clarksburg, WV 26302.
