It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vachel Cross of Belington, West Virginia, born in Philippi, West Virginia, who passed away on August 19, 2021, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Cross and Claudia Dove Delauder Cross; his wife Ruby Joan Lantz; and his son-in-law Jimmy McLean. He is survived by: his children, Paula Campbell (Richard) of Belington, Debbie Watson (Roger) of Belington, Clinton Thompson (Barbara) of Belington and Kevin Thompson (Jo) of Belington; and his close friend Max. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
