With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sherman Richard Batman (Belington, West Virginia), who passed away on September 22, 2023 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Richard Batman and Mary Ellen Lawrance Batman; his sister Betty Louise; his grandson Richard Bovay; and his daughter Marsha Aline Batman.
He is survived by: his wife Catherine Louise Hardy Batman; his daughter Mari Kathryn Batman Hendrickson (Paul) of Goose Creek, SC; his adoptive daughter Tracy Marie Batman (Joe Nguyen) of Aberdeen, MD; his grandchildren, Andrea Buie (John), Jennifer Redmond (Trae), Laura Payne, Steven Wolfe (Mallory), Robert Tocarciuc and Alana Rennix; his stepgrandchildren, Christyna Whisenhunt (Terry) and Austin Hendrickson (Janice); his great grandchildren, Christopher Miles, Evan Miles, Grady Redmond, Katherine Redmond, Sullivan Wolfe and Bowen Wolfe; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Christian Whisenhunt, Maddox Whisenhunt, Farah Whisenhunt, Isabella Hendrickson, Luke Hendrickson, Micah Hendrickson and Madeline Hendrickson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
