Charles Edward Mayle Obituary
Charles Edward Mayle., age 79, a resident of Belington WV., formerly of Galloway passed away on Monday, April 17, 2023, at his son's home Aaron Mayle while under the care of Mountain Hospice. He had been in failing health for quite some time.
He was born on July 29, 1943, in Clarksburg WV., a son to the late Leonard Warden Mayle, and Ruby (Titchner) Mayle.
On May 10, 1967, he was united in marriage to the former Catherine Mayle who preceded him in death on December 2, 2021.
Charles leaves behind his children; Aaron Mayle, and fiancé Tiffany Witek, Charles L. "Chucky" Mayle, and wife Dorothy; grandchildren, Bryden Dalton, Nathaniel Dalton, Christopher Mayle, Kaitlynn Mayle, Bethany Peters, and Gavin Peters; great-grandchild, Ella Marie Mayle; brothers, Tom Mayle, and wife Roxie, and Stan Mayle, and wife Nora; sisters, Freanie Harris, and Shelia Mayle; son-in- laws; Rocky "Delane" Dalton, and Oakey "Bobby" Peters.
He was preceded in death by his daughters; Infant Dawn Michelle Mayle, Robin Mayle, and Susie Jane "Janie" (Mayle) Peters; brothers, Richard Mayle, Ira Cain, Robert Cain, Duck Mayle, Calvin Mayle, and Timothy Mayle; sister, Vickie Mayle.
Charles earned his GED while serving our country in the Navy, he was a heavy equipment operator who previously worked for Harmons in Grafton. Charles had to resign from his job due to the declining health of his beloved Catherine. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He also loved to garden, hunt, and fish. Charles will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
Family and friends may gather at the Kittle Family Funeral Home 265 Beech Ave. Philippi, WV., on Saturday, April 22, 2023, from noon until 4pm. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. David Maley officiating. In honoring Charles's wishes his remains will be cremated. At a later date his and Catherines cremains will be interred at the West Hill Cemetery in Taylor County. The Kittle Family Funeral Home is honored to be assisting the family with the arrangements.
