He was predeceased by: his parents, William Gibson and Pearl Alentine Gibson (Meadows); his former wife Jo Ann Crisp; his grandsons, Brandon Lee Gibson and Liam Matthew McMillan; and his daughter-in-law Lisa Ann Moul Gibson.
He is survived by: his children, Rhonda Pearl Gibson of Beckley, WV, Galen Mark Gibson Sr. of Shady Spring, WV, Sheryl Kay Gibson of Beckley, WV, Teresa Dawn Gibson of Florida, William Frederick Gibson (Karen Cornett Gibson) of Cool Ridge, WV, Matthew Lee Gibson (Melissa) of Beckley, WV and Kara Ruth Gibson McMillan (Eric) of Beckley, WV. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, and numerous other nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Wounded Warrior Foundation in his memory.
