He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie W. Smith and Lucille Martin Smith; his brother Willie Smith; and his brother-in-law John M. Doss. He is survived by: his wife Virginia "Jenny" Doss Smith; his daughter Theresa Milam (Wyndel) of Glen Daniel; his great grandchildren, Emma, Easton, Ember, Hunter, Mckenzie and Matthew; and his brother-in-law David Doss (Missy) of Texas. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
