In loving memory of Janet Lyons of Beckley, West Virginia, who departed this world on January 18, 2025 at the age of 88. Janet leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ezra Jefferson Deck and Thelma Gamble Deck; her husband James D Lyons Sr.; and her siblings, Marion Tolbert and Arnold Deck.
She is survived by: her children, Drema Hayes of Newland, NC, Greg Pugh of Beckley and Cherie Shuler of Scottsburg, IN; her stepchildren, James Lyons (Sandie), Steven Lyons and Carol Hodson of Indiana; her grandchildren, Kimber (Justin), Kayla, Kevin, Jordan, Kendra and Leah; her great grandchildren, Grayson and Carter; her caregivers, Nancy Waugh, Karen Waddell, Sharon Holt, Debbi Miller, Nancy Pugh and Lacey Lilly; her sister-in-law Lily Ailene Deck; her nieces and nephews, Wayne Tolbert (Gloria), Mark Deck (Janet), Kevin Deck (Debbie), Sharon Holt and Tracy Cross; her cousin Pat Osborne (Charles); her close friends, Jan Knepp and Cheryl Muovich; and also, Kathy and Kayleigh Thompson.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Oak Grove Christian Church (273 Oak Grove Rd, Beckley, WV 25801). A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Oak Grove Cemetery (273 Oak Grove Rd, Beckley, WV 25801).
