He was predeceased by: his parents, Bascome Clement and Hettie Inez Snuffer Welch; and his siblings, Virginia Mitchell, Benjamin, William and Raymond Welch.
He is survived by: his wife Shelby; his sons, Mark (Jan) of Alexandria, VA and Kirk (Stacy) of Roanoke, VA; his grandchildren, Taylor, Clayton and Samantha; and his great grandchild Nolan.
