It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Robert Ransom (Beckley, West Virginia), who passed away on November 19, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Ransom and Lanzy Jane Ransom; and his siblings, Ina Lilly, Betty Ransom, Polly Ransom, Brenda Webber, Loma Gunter, Dallas Ransom, Bobby Ransom, Donald Ransom and Darrell Ransom.
He is survived by: his wife Wanda Ransom; his children, Sandra Lilly, George Ransom Jr. (Annette) and Wayne Ransom (Katherine); his siblings, Ronnie Ransom and Tammy Pack (Frank Pack); his grandchildren, Adrienne Ransom, John Ransom, Emilea Farthing, Candace Ransom, Morgan Ransom, Amelia Lilly and Autumn Ransom; and his great grandchildren, Kamryn, Maddison Farthing and Lainey Meadows.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home Shady Spring Chapel (729 Flat Top Rd, Shady Spring, WV 25918). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
