She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester Arthur and Ethel Lovely Mitchell Nicholas; her husband Lewis Mack Sowards; her son Lewis Michael Sowards; her granddaughter Katrina Sowards; her great grandchild Natasha Sowards; and her siblings, Dorothy Nicholas, Erma Nicholas, William Nicholas, Hobart Ray Nicholas, Naomi Nicholas, Chester Nicholas, Jr., Velva Nicholas, Gordon Nicholas, Lawrence Nicholas and Kermit Nicholas.
She is survived by: her children, Terry Lynn Sowards, Debra Lee Sowards, Stephanie Renee Hodgson and Kimberly Ann Hodson; her grandchildren, Adrian, Kristen, Brandon and Dusti; her great grandchildren, Jasyman, Jemmy and Aiden; and her sister Evelyn Moore. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, and a niece and nephew.
