He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Loan and Rita Loan; his wife Gloria Jean Akers Loan; his son James Ray Loan; and his sister JoAnn Davis.
He is survived by: his children, Dr. Terri Loan, Tina Loan Hendry (Gregg) of Barboursville and Jack Daniel Loan of Huntington, WV; and his close friends, Howard Underwood and Bob Perdue.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in his memory to the Lewis Memorial Baptist Church.
