He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Richard and Faye Smith Nicholas; his brother Scott Nicholas; and his son Rocky Nicholas. He is survived by: his children, Richie Nicholas of North Carolina, Wes Skaggs and Bear Nicholas of Huntington; and his grandchildren, Gracie, Kendall Nicholas of South Carolina, Jaxson and Harper Nicholas of Denver.
