She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Oliver and Ivy Pearl Oliver; her siblings, Clyde Oliver (Bob), William Oliver (Bill) and Donalee Muir; her daughters-in-law, Linda Smith and Mary Smith; her siblings-in-law, William Carson Smith and Nina Oliver; her parents-in-law, Charles McKinley Smith and Sadie Irene Brown; and her stepgrandson John B. Carter II.
She is survived by: her husband Gilbert L. Smith of Barboursville; her children, Timothy Lee Smith of Kissimmee, FL, David G. Smith (Margaret) of Lawrenceburg, TN, Diana J Carter (Bruce) of Lesage, WV, Charles O. Smith (Judee) of Ona, WV, Bill J. Smith (Michelle) of Rockhill, SC and Pamela J. Freed (Curt) of Spring Lake, MI; her brothers, Edward "Ed" Oliver and John "Jack" Oliver; and her sister-in-law Allie Riffe. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, twenty-nine great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House or the Missions Program at Lewis Memorial Baptist Church.
