We are sad to announce that on February 14, 2022 we had to say goodbye to Gilbert Lee Smith of Barboursville, West Virginia, born in Pulaski, Virginia. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Smith and Sadie Brown Smith; his wife Jean Alene Oliver Smith; his son Timothy Lee Smith; and his brothers, James Henry Smith and William Carson Smith.
He is survived by: his children, David G. Smith (Margaret) of Lawrenceburg, TN, Diana J Carter (Bruce) of Lesage, WV, Charles O. Smith (Judee) of Newland, NC, Bill J. Smith and Pamela J. Freed (Curt) of Spring Lake, MI; his brothers-in-law, Edward "Ed" Oliver and John "Jack" Oliver; his aunt Mildred Wall; and his sister Allie Riffe of Narrow, VA. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, thirty-one great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren.
Masks are recommended but not required.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Missions Program at Lewis Memorial Baptist Church.
