She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph William Barta Jr. and Mary Halstead Barta of Virginia; her son Bret Andrew Rice; and her granddaughter Elizabeth Reynolds. She is survived by: her husband Arthur Frederick Rice III of Barboursville, WV; her daughter Kelly Winifred Rice (Greg Thomas) of Apple Grove, WV; her grandchildren, Kristina Elizabeth Shivel (David) of Cleveland, OH, Harry Shivel III (Carol) of Huntington, WV and Jason Reynolds (Ronnie) of Maysville, KY; her great grandchildren, Harry Shivel IV and Madison Brookins of Maysville, KY; her brother Joseph William Barta III (Susan) of Gainesville, FL; her daughter-in-law Jacki Rice of Maysville, KY; her sister-in-law Cherry Lane (Don) of Charlotte, NC; her nephew Jimmy Blake of Virginia Beach, VA; and her great-niece Mitzi Blake of Charlotte, NC. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
