It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Acy W. Underwood of Bancroft, West Virginia, who passed away on March 29, 2025, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Melvin Underwood; his sister Nancy Norvell; his brothers-in-law, Wayne Norvel, Jim Norvell and Larry Pack; and his parents-in-law, Sam and Mary Rust.
He is survived by: his wife Katy; his sons, Bryan and Charley (Cierra); his grandchildren, Alexis, Cayden, Beau, Marcus, Lilly, Emma, Nora and Jane; his daughters, Katy Beth (Chris) and Lisa; his mother Mae; his siblings, Ann (Craig), Sandy (Ronnie) and Johnny (Gina); and his siblings-in-law, Amy Sullivan (Mike), Connie Gallaher (Steve) and Roy Rust. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
A reception was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Gatens-Harding Funeral Home (147 Main St, Poca, WV 25159). Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 1st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM and at 2:00 PM at the same location.
