He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Jane Haville Yates; his children, Rebecca Jane Yates (Charles), Lorrie Anne Thorsby (Tim) and John Douglas Yates, II (Annette); his grandchildren, Amber Fountain (family: Joshua Taylor, Justin Taylor, Joseph Tabor, Kimberly Tabor, Leah Hennessy) and Seth Yates; and his sisters, Sue Smith, Sharon Testerman and Sandra Alexander. He is also survived by family, Joshua Taylor and family, Justin Taylor and family, Joseph Tabor and family.
