He is survived by: his children, Beth Friend (Thomas) of Kingsport, TN, Joe Bishop (Deanna) of Oakland, MD and Chad Bishop (Beth) of Aurora; his grandchildren, Roni Friend Shaffer (Logan) of Kingsport, David Friend of Kingsport, Claire Bishop Green (Anthony) of Rivesville, WV, Abby Bishop of Oakland, Emma Bishop of Aurora and Ava Bishop of Aurora; his great grandchildren, Cheyenne Green, Harper Green and Katie Jo Green; his siblings, Paul Clayton Bishop of Kingwood, Marshall Bishop (Karen) of Cheat Lake and Viola "Toots" Groves of Kingwood; and his brother-in-law Buck Eavenson of Hazelton.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Kingwood Funeral Home and Crematory (295 S Price St, Kingwood, WV 26537). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
