With solemn reverence, we commemorate Edward Marshall Utterback of Aurora, West Virginia, whose life came to an end on December 11, 2024 at the age of 84, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Utterback and Aurelia Utterback (Roy); his parents-in-law, Dr. Andrew and Elizabeth Mance (Kennedy); and his brother Tom Utterback.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Mance Utterback; his children, Mark Utterback (Lisa) of Aurora, WV, John Utterback (Jennifer) of Palmyra, PA, Matt Utterback of Oakland, MD and Katie Gallagher (Art) of Morgantown, WV; and his grandchildren, Quintin, Emerik and Owen Utterback. He is also survived by his siblings and many cousins.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Newman Funeral Homes (1100 Memorial Dr, Oakland, MD 21550). A Mass will be held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 1:45 PM at the St. Peter's Catholic Church (208 S 4th St, Oakland, MD 21550). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to one of the many charities that were dear to Ed: Jacob's Ladder (https://www.jl-af.org) , plant a tree in his honor via the Arbor Day Foundation or Holy Cross Foundation.
