He is survived by: his wife Deborah Smallwood Birdsong; his sons, William Birdsong of Stephens City, VA and Raymond Birdsong of Hedgesville, WV; his stepchildren, Dana Johnston of Winter Springs, FLA, Dina Johnston of Lynchburg, VA and Sara Johnston of Winchester, VA; and his brothers, Harold Robert Birdsong of Rhode Island and Luther Earl Birdsong of Berryville, VA.. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren.
