She was predeceased by: her parents, Dorsey B. Whitacre and Virginia F. Martin Whitacre; her spouse Carroll W. Park; and her nephew Thomas. She is survived by: her sons, John (Brittany) of Augusta, WV and Aaron (Jessica) of Augusta, WV; her siblings, Shirley Miller of Delray, WV, Ronnie Whitacre (Nancy) of Delray, WV and Roger Whitacre (Frances) of Delray, WV; her granddaughters, Danielle and Evalynn; and her friend Rhonda Bingaman.
