He was predeceased by: his parents, James G. Park Sr. and Hazel V. Park (Shelley); his wife Eldora Pepper Park; and his siblings, Violet Lee and James G. Park Jr..

He is survived by: his daughters, Sheryl D. Poling (Keith) of Augusta and Sherry L. Smith (Shawn) of Augusta; his grandchildren, Ryan Poling (Bailey) of Herando, Darlena Poling of Augusta and Darren Smith of Augusta; and his sister Arvella Peer of Capon Bridge, WV..
