He is survived by: his wife Julie Mathias of Mathias, WV; his sons, Derek Mathias (Sabrina) of Augusta, Dustin Mathias of Romney and Joe Poist of Martinsburg, WV; and his siblings, Vic Mathias (Nancy) of Augusta, WV, Lynn Mathias of Slanesville and Linda Riley (Tracy) of Houston, TX. He is also survived by five grandchildren.
