He was predeceased by: his parents, Phillip Jewell and Virginia "Mae" Racey Jewell; and his brothers, Roger, Phillip, Norman, John and James Jewell.
He is survived by: his children, Carla Shaffer of Romney, Connie Herron of Edinburg, VA, Cathy Jewell of Wardensville, WV, Charles "Dale" Jewell of Romney and Cameron Jewell; and his sisters, Ruby Hott of Capon Bridge, WV, Anna Jewell of Romney, WV and Brenda Johnson of Ellisville, Ill.. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren.
